You are all invited to join us at the Valley Park Community Centre for our Halloween Trail and spooky craft activities.

Pop into the Community Centre at any time during the session to start the trail, carve a pumpkin or colour in a spooky picture. Pick and choose what activities you do and what order you do them in.  Please leave enough time to complete the activities by the end of the session.

For the trail, you will be given a map of the local area with a route to follow to find some hidden clues.  Along the way you’ll have to carry out some hair-raising, blood curdling activities. If you’re brave enough to complete the trail, you’ll be rewarded with a prize. Fancy dress is encouraged. Please dress according to the weather. The trail is all out-doors, is approximately 1 mile long and is suitable for pushchairs. There is a fee of £1.50 per child, payable on the day. Please book in advance so we have enough maps and prizes available.

Craft activities, pumpkin carving and refreshments will be on offer in the Main Hall. For just £2.50 a pumpkin, you can eliminate all the mess from your kitchen and let your child’s imagination run wild whilst they create their masterpiece. The pumpkins will be ready to carve, we just ask that you are responsible for your child and carefully supervise them undertaking this and all activities. The pumpkin is then yours to take home. So that you aren’t left disappointed, please ensure that you book in for this activity, so we know how many pumpkins to prepare.

Tickets for pumpkin carving will be limited and will be issued on a first come basis. We will let you know by email on 17 October if you have been successful.

Please book in for the activities below by Sunday 23 October so we can make sure we have enough prizes, craft resources and pumpkins. Please bring cash on the day to pay for the trail, pumpkin carving and refreshments. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any card payments. The nearest cashpoint to the Community Centre is about a two-minute walk away outside Tescos.

If after booking for any reason you are unable to attend, please send an email to cec@valleyparkcommunity.co.uk. In the unlikely event that the session is cancelled, you will be contacted by email and text message.
